Romania, Hidroelectrica recorded a net profit in the amount of 540 million euros in H1 2022

Romania’s largest electricity producer Hidroelectrica recorded a net profit in the amount of 540 million euros in the first half of 2022, which is 56 % higher compared to the same period last year. The increase is mostly due to extremely high energy prices in 2022.

The company’s revenues in the first six months of the year amounted to 970 million euros, compared to 660 million euros in revenues a year before.

In 2021, Hidroelectrica recorded revenues in the amount of 1.34 billion euros, up 68.9 % compared to 2020, and net profit in the amount of 638 million euros, an 113.8 % increase year-on-year.
