The executive directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) and the Montenegrin Electric Transmission System (CGES), Ivan Bulatović and Ivan Asanović, signed the Agreement on the construction of infrastructure for the connection of the A8 unit in the Perućica Hydropower Plant to the transmission network.
The machine hall and switchgear were built for the final phase of the Perućica HPP construction, which includes the A8 unit.
The eighth aggregate will have a nominal power of 58.5 MW, which would increase the installed power of the power plant from 307 MW to 365.5 MW.
The project of installing the A8 unit will be implemented in cooperation with the German Development Bank (KfW). The bank submitted an Indicative offer for financing of the project.
The signing of a credit arrangement with KfW bank in the amount of up to EUR 40 million, which includes the necessary funds in connection with the installation project of Aggregate A8, is expected at the beginning of June 2024, when it is planned to publish a tender for the design, procurement and installation of the necessary electro-mechanical equipment for the aggregate itself
