A total volume of 550,784.4 MWh of electricity was traded on the Croatian energy exchange CROPEX in November 2022, which is 14.7 % more than in October, of which 540,834.2 MWh on the day-ahead market and 83,225.8 MWh on the intraday market. Traded volume in November 2022 was 18.3 % higher compared to the same month last year.
Average daily base price on day-ahead market in November amounted to 219.42 euros/MWh, which is 11.5 % higher than in the previous month, while average euro-peak price reached 257.7 euros/MWh, 19.3 % higher compared to the previous month. The average price on the intraday market was 220.36 euros/MWh, 11.4 % higher compared to October.
There are 27 participants on CROPEX day-ahead market (the same as in the previous month), twenty two of which have been active on the intraday market as well. Average daily traded volume on the day-ahead market in November amounted to 18,294.5 MWh.
CROPEX was launched on 11 March 2016 in cooperation with Nord Pool, Europe’s leading electricity exchange, and is co-owned by the Croatian electricity transmission system operator (HOPS) and the Croatian electricity market operator (HROTE). Intraday market was launched in April 2017. On 19 June 2018, after joint project of Croatian and Slovenian transmission system operators and power exchanges, CROPEX day ahead market was successfully coupled with MRC markets through Croatian – Slovenian border.
