The liberalization of electricity market for residential and small business consumers is postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, said Valentin Nikolov Chairman of the Parliamentary Energy Commission. The entry of these consumer categories into free market was supposed to come into effect as of 1 July. According to Nikolov, liberalization of this part of electricity market will be postponed to 1 September 2020, when nearly 55,000 companies would be able to choose their own supplier and be supplied at competitive prices.
