The Ministry of Economy of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton awarded a concession contract to a local company Umikon for the construction of several solar power plants with a combined capacity of 5 MW. The statement from the Ministry said that Umikon will build five solar power plants with a capacity of 999 kW each in the Rastani village near Mostar.
The company has been awarded a 30-year concession for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity generated at the planned solar power plants.
Last month, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton has awarded a concession for the construction of ten solar power plants, with combined installed capacity of 40 MW, to local company Plavo Sunce.
