As of 1 January, the Republic of Srpska (RS) introduced three block tariffs based on consumption for residential electricity consumers.
The regulator RERS said earlier that the block tariffs would range up to 500 kWh of monthly electricity consumption for the first one, the second one would range between 501 and 1,500 kWh, while the third one is for consumption above 1,500 kWh per month.
The price in the first block is 3.3 eurocents/kWh, 5.6 eurocents/kWh for the second block and 12 eurocents/kWh for the third, most expensive block tariff.
Lower price for electricity consumed during the night will continue, with the price of electricity during nighttime being half of that during daytime.
