An agreement on cooperation in the implementation of a solar power plant development project in Beocin has been signed in the premises of the Provincial Secretariat for Energy and Mineral Raw Materials between the municipality of Beocin, the Secretariat for Energy and the Slovakian company Vat Energija, which intends to build a 1 MW solar power plant spanning three hectares. The total value of the investment is EUR 3 million.
Provincial Secretary Radoslav Strikovic stressed that it was very good that the accent had lately been placed on renewable energy sources and added that companies from Slovakia had already showed significant seriousness in such projects.
– What is particularly important is the Energy Agreement signed between Serbia and Slovakia, which clearly shows us the direction we should take. When it comes to this concrete investment, which envisages the construction of a 1 MW power plant, the legal procedure for issuing permits and giving consents will be completed in the local self-government and our secretariat, which will make the whole job much easier for investors, as well as for all of us
