Unit 6 of Slovenia’s coal-fired thermal power plant Sostanj has been taken offline on 27 April for scheduled regular maintenance, which should last until 9 May.
The plant’s operator HSE said that, during the shutdown, the production of electricity for the needs of the Slovenian electricity network and heat for the Saleska Valley will be ensured through the operation of unit 5 and gas units.
TPP Sostanj produced 1,208 GWh of electricity so far in 2022, of which Unit 6 produced 1,022 GWh.
