Slovenia sees mixed energy price trends in Q2 2025 for households and industry

In the second quarter of 2025, Slovenian households paid an average of 0.196 euros per kWh for electricity and 0.087 euros per kWh for natural gas. Electricity prices rose by 18% compared to the first quarter, while gas prices fell by 3%.

Industrial consumers in Slovenia saw average electricity prices of 0.138 euros per kWh without VAT in the same period, a 14% decrease from the previous quarter. Natural gas prices for industrial users dropped by 10%, reaching 0.054 euros per kWh without VAT.

In the second half of 2024, household natural gas prices in Slovenia, including all taxes (for annual consumption between 20 and 200 GJ), were 74% of the EU-27 average. For non-household consumers (10,000–100,000 GJ), gas prices without VAT represented 93% of the EU-27 average.

During the same period, average electricity prices for households (2,500–5,000 kWh annually) were 70% of the EU-27 average, while electricity prices without VAT for non-household consumers (500–2,000 MWh annually) reached 95% of the EU-27 average.
