The net production of electricity in Slovenia in December 2022 was 1,197 GWh, the Statistical Office announced on Thursday. Compared to November, production increased by 55 percent, while compared to December 2021, it decreased by 4 percent.
The production of hydropower plants increased in December by 27 percent, to 378 GW, and the production of nuclear power plant by 1 percent, to 520 GW, while the production in thermal power plants decreased by 30 percent, to 294 GWh.
Also, fuel consumption was reduced by 31 percent compared to the same period last year.
Electricity imports increased by 16 percent compared to November, to 915 GWh, while exports increased by 22 percent, to 838 GWh.
Household consumption in December 2022 amounted to 375 GWh, which is 24 percent more compared to the same month of the previous year. Consumption in the economy sector increased by 1 percent, to 290 GWh.
The supply of lignite and brown coal in December increased by 413 percent and natural gas by 15 percent compared to November, according to the Bureau of Statistics.
