Slovenia’s net electricity generation in March 2020 increased by 1 % compared to the same month last year, according to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia. In March 2020, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,176 GWh, which is 8 % more than in the previous month. At the same time, consumption reached 1,215 GWh, which is a 1 % increase compared to February 2020. During March, production in thermal power plants decreased by 18 %, production in hydropower plants increased by 31 %, while production at nuclear power plant Krsko remained approximately the same as in the previous month. In March 2020, Slovenia imported 835 GWh (- 7 % compared to March 2019) of electricity and exported 757 GWh (- 7 %). Supply of energy commodities in general went down in March, such as the supply of petrol which droped by 19 % and diesel by 13 %.
