Slovenia: Electricity generation and energy supply data for March 2025

Slovenia’s net electricity generation in March 2025 increased by 4% compared to March 2024, totaling 1,436 GWh, a 24% rise from February 2025. Thermal power plants saw a 24% increase in production, while hydropower output decreased by 12%. Nuclear power plant Krsko’s production rose by 1%, and wind and solar power generation surged by 42%.

The country imported 719 GWh of electricity (down 4% from March 2024) and exported 969 GWh (down 1%). Household electricity consumption dropped by 5%, while commercial consumption rose by less than 1% compared to February.

Energy commodity supplies in March showed mixed trends. The supply of hard coal, diesel, petrol, and coke increased, while the supply of other petroleum products, LPG, natural gas, kerosene, lignite, and heating oil decreased. Year-on-year, the supply of other petroleum products fell by 59%, LPG by 18%, and petrol by 13%.
