In November 2020, Slovenia’s net electricity generation decreased by 8 % compared to the same month last year, according to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia. In November 2020, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,411 GWh, which is 19 % less than in the previous month. At the same time, consumption reached 1,190 GWh, which is a 1 % increase compared to October 2020, and also 1 % higher compared to November 2019. In November, production in thermal power plants increased by 28 % compared to the same month in 2019, production in hydropower plants decreased by 38 %, while production at NPP Krsko was 1 % higher. In November 2020, Slovenia imported 569 GWh (+ 4 % compared to November 2019) of electricity and exported 750 GWh (- 11 %).
Supply of energy commodities in general went down in November, except from the supply of natural gas which rose by 33 % and LPG by 1 %. Compared to the previous month, a decrease in supply of petrol (37 %) was recorded, as well as heating oil (25 %), diesel (17 %), kerosene (15 %), hard coal (13 %), other petroleum products (9 %), lignite and brown coal (6 %) and coke (6 %). Compared to November 2019, the supply of kerosene decreased by 55 %, petrol by 45 %, heating oil by 38 %, coke by 24 %, diesel by 19 %, hard coal by 19 % and LPG by 8 %.
