Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that Serbia has plenty of electricity and natural gas at its disposal, adding that the country is safe
regarding that issue in the time of the global energy crisis.
PM Brnabic said that the price of electricity in Serbia is still much lower than in Europe, but also that there would be a pressure on the prices. She added that large industrial consumers have asked for the electricity price to be capped in the upcoming months, but that is impossible, because Serbia has a liberalized market.
She pointed out that some gas reserves from the Banatski Dvor storage facility were being used, but underlined that Serbia is safe when it comes to energy supply. She added that the Government is currently considering the implementation of some long-term measures, which will be revealed in the upcoming week.
