Construction of an oil pipeline connecting Serbia and Hungary will be finished by 2028, according to Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic. She explained that Serbia launched the construction of the oil pipeline, which is in the phase of technical documentation development, and the investor will be Transnafta.
The oil pipeline will enable the transport of around four million tons of oil.
Djedovic also said that this project will run concurrently with the expansion of oil storage capacities, which is a prerequisite for increasing mandatory oil reserves following European regulations.
