Serbian oil company NIS has secured a new special license from the US Department of the Treasury, deferring the full application of sanctions until 27 June 2025. The license allows NIS and its subsidiaries to continue operations, honor contracts, and manage financial transactions without interruption.

The company expressed gratitude for the support of the Serbian Government and international institutions in securing this outcome. NIS emphasized its commitment to complying with local and international laws and stated that its activities have not jeopardized its operations or the security of its workforce. Looking ahead, NIS aims to maintain market stability in Serbia and advance its investment projects.
