In order to mitigate the consequences of increased electricity prices and their impact on local economy, the Government of Serbia decided to extend by another month the previous decision, according to which state-owned power utility EPS supplied electricity at unchanged prices to commercial consumers whose contracts have expired this fall.
This decision enables all buyers whose contract expires on 30 November to extend the validity of the contract until 31 December. In this way, they could keep the contract terms which they have had until now, namely the price of electricity, for another 30 days.
As for those buyers who concluded contracts on electricity supply with EPS that come into force on 1 December, the delayed application allows for the same treatment as with the buyers who are covered by the previous decision, and application will be postponed to 1 January 2022.
