Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic presented the plans for mining and energy in the next few months. The Group for Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy of the National Assembly of Serbia adopted a three-month report on the operations of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, presented by the Minister Mihajlovic, who said that fundamental changes are planned in the field of energy. She said that energy-related draft laws are expected to be discussed at the next week’s session of the Government and that they will enter the parliamentary procedure following that. There will be also talk about structural changes within public companies. Without them, Serbia can’t expect the GDP to grow, nor the expansion it expects to see in energy and mining. Minister Mihajlovic says that the aim of the changes initiated by the Ministry in the energy sector is for Serbia to have energy of high quality and for more energy to be derived from renewable sources, so that we could talk about green energy and green Serbia by 2050.
