The first PV facilty operated by Serbian power utility EPS will be 9.75 MW Petka solar power plant, located at the disposal site of open-pit coalmine Cirikovac near TPP Kostolac.
The solar power plant will cover an area of 11.6 hectares. Its estimated annual electricity generation is 15.6 GWh and total investment cost is 11.6 million euros. EPS is planning to connect the facility to the network by the end of 2024.
The installation of 18,720 photovoltaic modules is planned. Since the solar power plant Petka is a pilot project and a small solar power plant, fixed panel rests will be installed. EPS will also consider a flexible angle for the construction of larger solar power plants.
