Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic said that the country’s total crude oil and oil derivatives storage capacity amounts to 320,000 tons, which are currently at 88 % occupancy level.
Minister Mihajlovic said that some of the tanks are still being constructed, with two of them should be finished by the end of this year, with another two to be completed in 2023, so that, in 2024, Serbia will significantly increase the security of oil and oil products supply.
She reminded that the state has an obligation to store oil and oil products reserve for over two months’ consumption, adding that the reserves increased by 100 % compared to March this year.
