Serbian Directorate for Commodity Reserves has launched a tender for the construction of two oil tanks with the capacity of 20,000 cubic meters each at the oil storage facility in Smederevo.
According to tender documentation, the contract also includes the construction of two measurement skids with the accompanying installations, the construction of the accompanying infrastructure and the connecting to the existing infrastructure in the facility. This is basically a rebuild of two similar tanks that were destroyed during NATO bombing in 1999.
The aim of the rebuild of the tanks is to form strategic reserves for the cases when the security of the supply of the country with energy sources is jeopardized, which is also Serbia’s obligation as a member of the Energy Community.
Interested parties can submit their bids until 30 November.
