The Municipality of Brasov is planning to build a 20 MW solar power plant, that will provide 90% of electricity needed for schools, public buildings and lighting in the municipality. The project will be financed with non -non-reimbursable funds.
Earlier in August, the deadline for the submission of tenders for the preparation of the documentation and the execution works expired. Three Romanian companies, with international partners, have submitted bids for the project.
The next step is to evaluate the bids and decide which company will build the solar power plant. The three companies entering the competition are:Synergy Construct in consortium with Turkish Else Enerji, Visual Fan, leading the consortium consisting of TQM Services, Waldevar Energy and Optimum solar, and Electro-Alfa International, leading the consortium consisting of Founder Energy, BHD and General ME.EL Electrico.
The value of the contract is 18.2 million euros and the solar power plant should be built within four months from the signing of the contract.
