Simtel Team has signed an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract valued at over 19 million euros, excluding VAT, with Verbund Wind Power Romania, a subsidiary of the Verbund Group, one of Europe’s leading renewable energy producers. The contract covers the design, construction, and commissioning of a 60.207 MW solar power plant in Casimcea, Tulcea county.
The project is scheduled to be executed over approximately 15 months, followed by a 36-month performance guarantee. Acting as the EPC contractor, Simtel Team will deliver a turnkey facility that integrates with existing assets and supports the hybridization of the CAS South 2 wind farm operated by Verbund in the same area.
Verbund has operated a 226 MW wind complex at Casimcea since 2012. The addition of the solar power plant positions the site among Romania’s largest hybrid renewable projects and represents another step forward in the country’s energy transition.
