According to the latest data from the Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), 77 renewable energy projects with a total installed capacity of 950 MW were commissioned in 2024. Among these, 11 projects include energy storage facilities, contributing a combined capacity of 24 MW.

Looking ahead, 2025 is expected to see a significant boost in renewable energy capacity, with ANRE forecasting a threefold increase in newly installed capacity. The authority predicts that 52 new electricity generation facilities, totaling 2,712 MW, will become operational this year.

These upcoming projects have already secured connection agreements, submitted construction permits to operators, and received establishment permits from ANRE, making them strong candidates for timely completion.
