Romgaz posted a consolidated net profit of 336 million euros in the first half of 2025, a decline of 8.6 percent compared to the same period in 2024, representing a drop of 31.6 million euros. However, second-quarter profit rose 23.04 percent year-on-year.
National gas demand grew by about 4 percent in the first six months of 2025, while Romgaz deliveries increased by 10.5 percent, lifting the company’s market share to 47.2 percent, up 1.9 percent from a year earlier.
Natural gas production stood at 2,485.6 million cubic meters in H1 2025, essentially flat with a slight decrease of 0.05 percent from the previous year. Electricity generation totaled 341.47 GWh, down 109.29 GWh or 24.24 percent year-on-year.
Overall hydrocarbon production, including gas and condensate, rose by 0.4 percent compared to the first half of 2024.
