Romanian Minister of Energy Virgil Popescu said that Romanian refineries have already found alternative sources of crude oil, given that the embargo on Russian oil imports takes effect in early December.
This is primarily related to Lukoil Petrotel refinery, with the capacity of 2.5 tons of crude per year, which, until recently, mainly used Russian crude oil transported via Black Sea.
The other operators of refineries in Romania are Rompetrol (KMGI) with Petromidia refinery in Navodari and OMV Petrom with Petrobrazi refinery in Ploiesti.
