Polish solar energy producer R.Power has announced contracts for the construction of 23 MW of solar power plants in Romania. The agreements, signed with Polish firm Nomad Electric and Romanian renewable energy developer Waldervar, involve shovel-ready projects located in central and eastern Romania. These solar power plants will be connected directly to the national medium-voltage network and are expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2025.
R.Power is expanding its footprint in Romania, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Germany. The company aims to develop a solar portfolio of 100 MW in Romania by the end of 2025, with a global goal of reaching 1 GW of operational capacity next year. Earlier this year, R.Power secured a pipeline of over 200 MW with various solar projects across Romania, all of which have obtained necessary permits and network connections.
