Spanish utility Iberdrola signed an agreement to sell an 80 MW wind farm in Romania in a deal that will mark its exit from the market.
Iberdrola said in a press release that it is selling its wind power plant Dobrogea One to a unit of local renewable electricity and gas supplier Premier Energy Group for 88 million euros. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
The deal is part of Iberdrola’s strategy to divest non-core assets. With the sale of Dobrogea One and the capacity this vehicle holds, Iberdrola will no longer have any assets or operations in Romania, the company added.
Wind farm Dobrogea One has been in operation since 2012.
