Electrica Furnizare will develop the turnkey project for the construction of small-scale solar power plant for glass processor Cristal Brad Service in Ilfov County.

The power plant will have an installed capacity of 349.8 kW and expected annual electricity generation of 401.7 MWh. The investment will help reduce CO2 emissions by more than 107 tons per year and has a direct impact on lowering the total cost of electricity. The solar panels will be installed on two types of roof surfaces terrace and pitched. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of the year.

Deputy Director of Cristal Brad Service Constantin Ciobanu said that this project is part of the green energy investment plan that the company is considering in the next period, with the ultimate goal of achieving an installed capacity of 1 MW.

In 2020, Electrica Furnizare entered the market for the production of electricity from renewable sources, by purchasing 7.5 MW Stanesti solar power plant in Giurgiu County. Currently, the company is implementing a series of projects involving the delivery of customized, turnkey solutions for green energy production, thus aligning with the Electrica Group’s strategy to contribute to the sustainable development of business, in the context of the European Green Deal.

In February, Electrica Furnizare was selected to build a small-scale solar power plant with an installed capacity of 818.8 kW and estimated annual electricity generation of 1,108 MW for the Albacher brewery at its facility in Sebes.
