Romania: CJR Renewables secures BoP contract for 99.2 MW wind farm

Portuguese company CJR Renewables has been awarded a Balance of Plant (BoP) contract to construct a 99.2 MW wind farm in eastern Romania for Swedish developer OX2.

The contract includes a range of works: engineering and design, construction of 26.3 kilometers of access roads, 16 crane platforms, 16 foundations with piling works, 25.2 kilometers of medium voltage trenches, and a 110/33-kV substation.

The wind farm will feature 16 Vestas V162 turbines, each with a capacity of 6.2 MW. Construction is set to commence in the third quarter of 2024, with commissioning anticipated in the first half of 2026.

This year, CJR Renewables has already secured two additional contracts in Romania: a 101 MW solar power plant in Simleu Silvaniei for Shikun & Binui Energy, and a 102 MW wind farm in Urleasca for BIG MEGA Renewable Energy.
