In the first half of 2025, EVN Group’s electricity distribution arm, Elektrodistribucija, completed a series of major infrastructure projects to modernize and strengthen North Macedonia’s low-voltage electricity network. The initiative aimed to improve network reliability, reduce transmission losses, and integrate advanced technologies into daily operations.

As part of the modernization program, 135 kilometers of new low-voltage lines were installed, replacing outdated poles and conductors. In addition, new remote metering systems were introduced at several locations to enhance monitoring and network management. These upgrades are expected to boost operational efficiency and ensure more reliable electricity supply for consumers.

The total investment during the first six months of 2025 reached 10.4 million euros, with an additional 2 million euros planned by the end of the year. Through these projects, Elektrodistribucija continues to strengthen North Macedonia’s power distribution infrastructure and lay the groundwork for the long-term stability and development of the national energy system.
