The Montenegrin government plans to launch a tender for a 30-year lease on 2 million square metres of land in the municipality of Savnik for the construction and development of a wind power project.
The spatial planning ministry has already drafted the auction documents, according to which the investor will be required to install wind turbines of 6.6 KW each at the location, the government said in a statement, without providing a final number of the planned wind turbines. The minimum annual land lease fee will be set at 569,500 euros.
All interested domestic and foreign companies will be eligible to participate in the planned auction, upon the payment of a 28,475 euro deposit.
The government added that the initiative for organising the auction was launched in February 2023 upon a request of Podgorica-based firm N1 to take under the long-term lease the above land plot in Savnik, to build the 290 MW Sinjajevina – Part 2 wind park.
