The Montenegrin Government has announced that local firm Universal Engineering plans to construct a 160 MW solar power plant in the Niksic municipality. The project has received approval for its urban-technical documentation.

According to the Government statement, the Brocanac solar power plant is expected to achieve a maximum output of 192 MW under optimal conditions. The facility will be situated on approximately 222 hectares, spanning the villages of Brocanac Grahovski and Vilusi within Niksic.

Universal Engineering, founded in August 2022, specializes in engineering services and technical consultancy. The choice of Niksic for this solar project aligns with the region’s growing appeal for solar energy investments.
