In October 2024, the average electricity bill for households in Montenegro was 27.9 euros, reflecting a 4.8% decrease compared to the previous month’s average of 29.32 euros. However, it was 8.3% higher than in October 2023, when the average bill was 25.75 euros.
The lowest average monthly electricity bill was recorded in Mojkovac municipality, with residents paying an average of 21.8 euros, while Niksic saw the highest consumption, with an average bill of 32.5 euros.
Consumption breakdown:
- 68.1% of households paid less than 30 euros for electricity in October.
- 17.8% paid between 30 and 50 euros.
- 11.7% were charged between 50 and 100 euros.
- 2.4% received bills exceeding 100 euros.
A total of 213,076 regularly paying customers received a 10% discount, representing 53.5% of all consumers in Montenegro.
Electricity consumption: In October 2024, Montenegrin households consumed 100.2 million kWh, which is 6.49% more than in October 2023 but 5.85% less than the previous month.
