Grexel, part of the EEX group, has been appointed to establish an electronic Guarantees of Origin (GO) system in Montenegro following an open tendering procedure. In response to market and legislative requirements, and cooperation with the Energy Community, Montenegro is adopting a national registry developed by Grexel.
Montenegro will now benefit from G-REX, a modern and user-friendly electronic registry for guarantees of origin. Already today G-REX seamlessly facilitates the transfer of GOs within the Energy Community region. Once Montenegro becomes a part of the AIB, their registry will further support exports and imports through the AIB Hub. This streamlined process ensures a smooth and efficient flow of guarantees of origin across the energy landscape.
COTEE shares their enthusiasm about the partnership. -It’s our great pleasure having Grexel as a service provider for the electronic GO system. We are looking forward to the go-live and expanding our connection through Energy Community Contracting Parties and AIB HUB in the future.
– It’s been a great pleasure to work with COTEE on setting up a GO registry for Montenegro. Throughout the implementation project, everything has run smoothly and we’re ready to go live as well as connect the registry with other energy community countries, Markus Klimscheffskij, CEO of Grexel said.
