Montenegrin state-owned energy company EPCG has announced a tender for the preparation of project documentation for the construction of the Slano solar power plant, located on the Slano reservoir dam. The planned photovoltaic facility will have an installed capacity of 2.5 MW.

The tender, valued at 13,000 euros, requires bids to be submitted by August 13. The scope of work includes the complete design of the solar plant and its connection to the electrical grid, covering integration into the distribution network.

The main design package must contain the layout of the photovoltaic plant, substation designs, geodetic base maps, a connection study for integration into the 10 kV network, and a fire protection report. EPCG will separately provide the structural design for mounting the solar panels.

The total estimated cost of the Slano solar power plant project is 60 million euros. EPCG aims to complete at least five major projects within the next two years, with both the Slano and Krupac solar plants expected to be operational by the end of 2027.
