The contract is worth 6,98 million euros and the contractor is obliged to complete the work in 165 days
Director of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) Nikola RovĨanin and DEC manager Zhao Kun signed a contract in Podgorica today on the adaptation of the internal lining of the chimney in the Thermal Power Plant (TE) “Pljevlja”.
EPCG stated that the contract is worth 6,98 million euros, as well as that the contractor is obliged to complete the work of the internal lining of the chimney within 165 days.
“One of the several projects as part of the environmental reconstruction at the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant is the internal lining of the chimney, which is being changed so that the flue gas from the desulphurization plant can be sent directly into the chimney, without pre-heating from 60 degrees Celsius to 130 degrees Celsius “, says the announcement.
As it is added, the existing chimney lining requires a minimum flue gas temperature of 125 to 130 degrees Celsius.
By reheating the flue gas with steam, a big amount of heat energy, equivalent to 6.5 MWe, would be consumed, which would mean a loss of about 45 GWh of electricity on an annual basis.
