Montenegro approves technical documentation for 137 MW Stedim solar power plant

The Montenegrin Government has approved the technical documentation for the construction of the Stedim solar power plant, a project proposed by state-owned power utility EPCG.

With an installed capacity of 137 MW, the facility will also feature battery storage with a 115 MW capacity. In its first year of operation, the plant is expected to generate approximately 170 GWh of electricity.

The solar farm will span 250 hectares in the villages of Stedim and Kuside, located in the western municipality of Nikšić. According to EPCG’s previous announcements, the project’s estimated cost is 60 million euros.
