Montenegro approves environmental impact study for 68 MW solar power plant in Niksic

Montenegro’s Environmental Protection Agency has approved the environmental impact study submitted by the local company New Age Energy Tri for the development of a 68 MW solar power plant in the Niksic municipality.

The proposed solar facility will cover an area of 604,380 square meters, situated near Slano and Krupac lakes, approximately 20 kilometers from Niksic. The plant will consist of 113,335 solar panels, each with a maximum capacity of 600 W, and will be connected to the 110 kV Niksic-Vilusi transmission line.
