One of Hungary’s largest solar power plants – Tazlar has been officially put into operation.
The solar power plant has an installed capacity of 63 MW, it is located near the city of Tazlar and consists of more than 115,000 solar panels. It provides electricity to more than 36,000 households and covers an area of almost 100 hectares.
The new solar power plant is co-owned by MET Group, MASPED Elsa Magyar Altalanos SzallÃtmanyozasi and HO-ME 2000 Vagyonkezelo.
The three companies used their own resources and commercial bank project financing to fund the investment worth approximately 50 million euros.
The solar power plant incorporates the latest technology and has an expected lifetime of at least 30 years. The plant is expected to make a
major contribution to achieving Hungary’s renewable energy targets and reducing the country’s dependence on energy imports.
