The Hungarian Ministry of Energy announced that nearly 1,000 households have successfully completed investments funded by subsidies for solar panels and battery storage. The program, which launched in early 2024, has a budget of 264 million euros, expected to support investments in over 20,000 homes.

Under this scheme, households can apply for up to 12,500 euros in support, covering two-thirds of the investment costs. As of September, more than 20,000 households had applied for subsidies to install solar panels and battery storage. Currently, over 283,000 homes in Hungary have solar panels installed.
