In the first seven months of 2021, Ukraine has reduced earnings from electricity exports by 28.1 % (by some 53 million dollars) compared to the same period in 2020, to 135.6 million dollars, according to data from the State Customs Service.
In January-July 2021 period, 59.3 million dollars worth of electricity was supplied to Hungary, 39.8 million dollars to Poland, 21.2 million dollars to Romania and 15.3 million dollars to other countries.
In July 2021 alone, electricity was exported for 27.4 million dollars, compared to 5.5 million in July 2020.
In addition, in the first seven months of the year, Ukraine imported electricity for 59 million dollars compared to 110 million dollars in the same period last year. Electricity imported from Belarus was worth 24.7 million dollars, Slovakia – 22.4 million, Russia – 5.4 million and other countries – 6.6 million dollars.
