After Spanish energy company Iberdola obtained tariffs at RES auction held in July it has started the construction of three wind farms in Greece with combined installed capacity of 98.1 MW.
Two of the projects are located in West Macedonia region in northern part of the country – 33.6 MW Askio II wind farm near Kozani and 48 MW Askio III wind farm near Kastoria. The third project – 16.5 MW Rokani wind farm is located on the Evia island, north of Athens. All three projects should be commissioned during 2022. Iberdola already operates several wind farms in Greece and following the completion of these three projects its Greek wind portfolio will rise to 415 MW.
