According to data published by electricity transmission system operator ADMIE, the share of Public Power Corporation (PPC) in the electricity market increased to 61.14 % in November from 56.51 % in the previous month.
Regarding independent suppliers, Mytilineos held a market share of 8.74 %, down from 12.89 %. Heron followed with a market share of 7.25 %, dropping from 7.46 %. Elpedison was next with 6.31 % from 6.51 %, followed by NRG, at 4.64 % from 4.71 %, Fysiko Aerio at 2.4 % from 2.33 %, Volterra at 2.12 % from 2.36 %, Watt & Volt at 2 % from 1.91 %; Zenith at 1.98 % from 1.84 %, Volton at 1.01 % from 1.03 % and the remainder of companies at 2.4 % from 2.45 %.
However, state-controlled PPC recorded a significant share contraction in mid-voltage category during 2022: it dropped from 42.36 % at the beginning of the year to 36.01 % in November .
On the other hand, Mytilineos’ mid-voltage market share increased to 16.61 % in November, up from 13.48 % in January. Heron also achieved a mid-voltage market share increase, reaching 14.78 % in November from 12.39 % in January. Elpedison’s market share in this category rose marginally to 6.96 % from 6.66 % in the first eleven months of 2022.
NRG’s share fell to 9.06 % from 9.41 %, Watt & Volt’s share slipped to 0.84 % from 0.89 %, Fysiko Aerio’s share rose to 4.87 % from 3.47 %, Volterra’s share increased to 7.09 % from 6.22 %. Zenith’s share contracted to 0.40 % from 0.62 %, as did Volton’s share, to 0.5 % from 0.78 %.
Market share figures remained relatively stable in the low-voltage category between January and November, with the share of PPC dropping slightly from 64.53 % in January to 64.32 % in November.
Mytilineos’ market share in the low-voltage category fell marginally to 6.34 % from 6.47 %. Heron experienced a rise to 6.39 % from 6.01 %. Elpedison’s market share slid to 4.92 % from 5.10 % and NRG’s share rose to 4.36 % from 3.77 %.
