Greece, Terna Energy has obtained a permit for the construction of 79.8 MW wind farm

According to Greek media, Terna Energy has obtained a permit for the construction of 79.8 MW wind farm on the Evia island.

The permit was awarded through the issuance of a special power producer certificate to the developer by the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE). The granted license expires in 2048.

Located in the municipality of Karystos, the future wind farm will consist of 19 wind turbines with a rotor diameter of 136 meters.). Terna Energy will fund the project with equity and debt financing.

At the end of September 2022, Terna Energy had 895 MW of RES portfolio in operation, the majority of which is in wind, as well as 1,234 MW of wind, solar, hydro and energy storage projects under construction. The company’s goal is to operate 3.3 GW of RES capacity by the end of 2025.
