Greek Government has presented a subsidies package for the month of April, which features 80 % subsidy increase for households and doubled support for commercial consumers.
Electricity subsidies for residential consumers in April are increased to 72 euros, covering monthly consumption up to 300 kWh, from 40 euros in March. Combined with a 30 % discount offered by electricity suppliers, this measure will reduce the price of electricity to 15 eurocents/kWh, compared to 39 eurocents in March.
Non-residential consumers will receive monthly subsidies of 130 euros/MWh, double the 65 euros/ MWh offered in March.
Small and medium-sized enterprises will also receive an additional 100 euros/MWh, which brings the total subsidy amount to 230 euros/MWh.
