Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in August reached 611 GWh, 7% higher compared to August 2022 (571 GWh).
In total gross electricity production, hydropower plants participated with a share of 28%, thermal power plants with 67% and wind farms with around 4%.
Net electricity production amounted to 563 GWh, of which 172 GWh was produced in hydropower plants, 364 GWh was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 27 GWh.
In August, electricity imports amounted to 90 GWh, compared to 79 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 98 GWh, compared to 90 GWh last August.
