During the week of November 25, solar photovoltaic energy production increased across most European electricity markets compared to the previous week. The German market saw the largest rise, with an increase of 46%, while the Spanish market recorded the smallest increase at 4.1%. Both markets continued their upward trend for the second consecutive week. In contrast, the Portuguese and French markets reversed their trends, with increases of 6.5% and 17%, respectively. Meanwhile, the Italian market experienced declines for the second week in a row, with a 17% drop, AleaSoft reports.

Throughout the week, the German market achieved the second-highest solar photovoltaic energy production for a November day in its history, reaching 116 GWh on Saturday, November 30.

For the week starting December 2, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting’s solar energy production forecasts predict increases in Italy and Spain. However, photovoltaic energy production is expected to decrease in Germany.

In the last week of November, wind energy production fell across all major European markets compared to the previous week. The German market experienced the smallest drop at 19%, while the Spanish market saw the largest decline at 49%. The Italian, Portuguese, and French markets registered decreases of 21%, 29%, and 41%, respectively. In Portugal, wind energy production continued its downward trend for the second consecutive week.

For the first week of December, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting’s wind energy production forecasts suggest an increase in production in the Spanish market, while production is expected to decrease in Italy, Portugal, France, and Germany, AleaSoft reports.
