In the week of November 11, solar photovoltaic energy production increased in both the Italian and French markets by 0.3% and 6.2%, respectively. However, the Iberian Peninsula and Germany saw declines in production. Germany experienced the largest decrease, with a 27% drop, continuing a downward trend for the fifth consecutive week. Portugal saw a smaller decrease of 7.4%, while Spain experienced a 23% decline, AleaSoft reports.

Despite the overall decline in solar photovoltaic production in Portugal, the country reached its highest historical daily production for November on November 11, with 14 GWh. In contrast, France achieved its third-highest daily production for the month, reaching 52 GWh on Friday, November 15.

For the week of November 18, solar energy production forecasts from AleaSoft Energy Forecasting predict an increase in the German and Spanish markets, while production in Italy is expected to decrease.

In the second week of November, wind energy production saw an increase across all major European markets after declines in the previous week. Germany recorded the largest increase, with a 267% rise, followed by Italy with a 209% increase, and France with a 147% rise. The Iberian Peninsula markets had the smallest increases, with Portugal growing by 83% and Spain by 90%.

For the third week of November, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting’s wind energy production forecasts indicate that most of the European markets will see increases in wind energy production, except for Portugal, where production is expected to decline, AleaSoft reports.
