Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced key investments in three major pipeline routes—Zlobin-Bosiljevo, Lucko-Zabok and Bosiljevo-Kozarac-Sisak—aimed at completing Plinacro’s gas infrastructure by 2027. These projects are part of Croatia’s strategy to diversify supply routes and ensure energy security in natural gas.
During the ceremony marking the completion of the Zlobin-Bosiljevo pipeline, Plenkovic highlighted the Government’s strong support for the projects, funded in part by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. He also noted the government’s earlier investments in the LNG terminal on Krk Island, which has increased capacity and is critical to Croatia’s energy security.
Additionally, Plenkovic emphasized the need for pipeline upgrades to transport hydrogen and announced plans for the Southern Gas Interconnection with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will extend gas supply capabilities. These efforts align with Croatia’s broader energy transition, focusing on renewable sources like wind, solar, and geothermal energy, preparing the country for a sustainable energy future.
